Cecilia Solis-Rosas, M.D., F.A.C.P., has been a member of the Herbalife Nutrition Advisory Board since 2010.

Based in Lima, Solis-Rosas works in private practice and is a consultant in the public and private sector, in projects of national interest. She is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and also holds an MBA from the University Carlos III in Madrid, Spain.

Solis-Rosas is a consultant to research centers at institutions of higher learning in Peru. She serves as National Secretary of the Peruvian Departmental Association, coordinating projects and programs between the central government and regional administrations. She also works for the World Health Organization and Pan American Health Organization in their regional, non-communicable disease programs.

Solis-Rosas served as national coordinator of the National Strategy for Prevention and Control of Non-Communicable Diseases at the Ministry of Health, where she worked on long term programs for promoting healthy lifestyles and preventing chronic diseases, such as obesity, diabetes, hypertension and cancer, among others.

Solis-Rosas worked for Bristol-Myers Squibb as government affairs manager and market access leader for PerĂº, Chile and Ecuador; at Eli Lilly as clinical research manager for the Andean Region; and at Roche and Schering Plough as scientific and market advisor specializing in cardio metabolics. She was president of the Peruvian Society of Internal Medicine and vice president of the Latin American Society of Internal Medicine.

Solis-Rosas has had research papers published in national and international journals.
