Corina Zugravu, M.D., is a Primary Care Physician for Food Hygiene and Nutrition in Romanian Ministry of Health , National Institute for Public Health – National Center for Monitoring Risk in the European Community Environment.
Corina Zugravu is an associate professor at the Carol Davila Medicine and Pharmacy University in Bucharest and support Herbalife initiatives in Romania, providing expertise and counseling in nutrition for a healthy lifestyle.
With a PhD in medical sciences and more than 25 years of experience in research and academic pedagogy, Dr. Zugravu has a valuable scientific research activity, materialized through works published or communicated at a national or international level, through participation in national and international projects, subject to internal or international funding, as well as in other activities within the medical scientific field. She is the author of 7 university courses and specialized studies, 80 papers, of which several ISI papers (in extensor and summarized) and 45 articles published in magazines indexed in the CNCSIS (National Council for Scientific Research in Higher Education) international or recognized databases, 14 papers published in the volumes corresponding to national and international scientific events. She is also a reviewer of many well-known public health medical journals.
Starting with 2013, Corina Zugravu has carried out teaching activities for the „Nutrition and Food Safety” master’s program, organized by the Faculty of Nursing of the Carol Davila Medicine and Pharmacy University in Bucharest, targeting
• Assessment of the nutritional status
• Nutrition throughout the life cycle
• Nutrition for athletes
Dr. Zugravu is a Member of the following professional and scientific associations:
- Romanian College of Physicians
- European Public Health Association (EUPHA)
- International Union for Health Promotion and Education (IUHPE)
- Danube Kris Mures Tisa Euroregion Association (DKMT)
In 2010, Dr. Zugravu was selected to join the European Commission, a group of specialists who develop technical points of view on various scientific documents relevant to community. She is taking part in different other commissions within the European Food Safety Authority, such as Food Contact Materials, Enzymes, Flavourings and Processing Aids (CEF) .
From 2015, she is a member of the Scientific Committee of the National Food Safety Authority (ANSVSA).
